Our Journey
From an Idea to a Mission

When we were in Grade 4 & 5 (PYP), we were given a school project on Social Service. That’s when we felt a strong desire to do something meaningful for society. We tried saving small amounts of money and used it here and there — sometimes to gift stationery, sometimes to offer one-time meals to those in need. But we soon realised that these were temporary solutions, and we wanted to do something that would last.

Then came COVID. During the lockdown, while staying at home, we observed our father making donations through his company’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives. We got curious and asked him what CSR really meant. After learning more, we suggested to him:
“Why not use the CSR fund to help children who are not able to study?”

With support from our mom and grandmother, we took the first step — we started our own NGO with just two children. Today, that small initiative has grown into a permanent mission, supporting 459 students and still growing.

But once the NGO and funding were in place, we asked ourselves — now what can WE do personally?

So, we began organizing school and community functions — including craft stalls, food counters, cultural events, and performances. We taught dance, gave guitar and Kathak tuitions, and used those earnings to meet the needs of our NGO children.

Even on our birthdays, instead of gifts, we ask for contributions. With the collected funds, we’ve built a small library, bought computers, and helped provide essential items at various times.

This journey started as a project. Today, it has become our purpose. ❤
